Cynthia Davis chases birther dreams to California

O’Fallon loon (and, more important, Missouri state rep) Cynthia Davis traveled to Orange County, California, for a hearing in Orly Taitz’ civil lawsuit against President Barack Obama because Davis still believes that the president wasn’t born in this country. That’s fine because I don’t believe that Davis was born on this planet.

There’s even video! Skip to the 7-minute mark for Davis excitedly explaining how she’s doing it for the Constitution. “I’m here to help the cause,” she says on the video. There’s more rambling.

“I love the Constitution of the United States. We owe it to the people that we represent. Our whole country is counting on us to do something that’s going to say that we mean what our forefathers bled and died for so that we can have a Constitution.”

Then how about you get your ass back to the state where you were elected, ditch your conspiracy theory and do something other than rejoice that children are starving.

Our sister paper/blog, the OC Weekly, was there and has a lot more on

the actual case, including the scheduled October 5 hearing on the

government’s motion to dismiss the case (and a motion by Taitz to begin

discovery).
