Crystal Henley suing Kansas City police board for sex discrimination

A former Kansas City police cadet is suing the Kansas City, Missouri, Board of Police Commissioners and five of her instructors for sexual discrimination.

Crystal Henley claims she was targeted for discrimination when she enrolled in the police academy in May 2005 and “suffered

humiliation, loss, physical injury, medical complications and demeaning

and intimidating conduct.” Henley’s lawsuit alleges that instructors stared at her breasts, physically assaulted her and one male officer stormed into the women’s locker room while Henley and another female officer were naked.
