Crossroads Revolution

It’s a rare club night that has a manifesto behind it. However, Guerilla Movement, a promotions company founded by Kansas City rapper James Christos, manages to go beyond the usual “let’s get this party started” blather. To provide something of substance to clubgoers, Guerilla Movement’s three-part manifesto promises the following: “1. Exploit our vastness. 2. Subdue our inanity. 3. Arrest our ignorance.” It might sound a little much for a Wednesday, but Off the Wall Wednesdays, the new midweek throwdown that the company is sponsoring at Czar (1531 Grand, 816-421-0300), is mostly just a way to blow off some steam. Rhetoric aside, DJ Jamel Rockwell still spins tunes to make that booty go. And a drink on the menu called a “Blue Motherfucker” sounds like it has enough liquor in it to make even the stiffest suit bust some moves. Minds start getting blown at 10 p.m.
