Creature Feature: This loveable pup is looking for her forever home
Creature Feature is The Pitch’s weekly profile on a local animal looking for adoption. Shelters and support in Kansas City and the surrounding region are often pushed to the breaking point, so picking one future companion to highlight is how we want to put them on your radar. But there are far more than we could ever fit into our pages. Some of the frequent resources and groups we work with—who also have hundreds of other furry friends to flip through—include Great Plains SPCA, Olathe Animal Shelter, The Pet Connection, All Paws & Pals Play and Stay, Pleasant Hill Animal Control, Pawportunities, Wayside Waifs, Midwest Animal Resq, Pawsperity, Wild Souls Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Humane Society Pet Food Pantry, KC Action For Animals, and Pet Resource Center of KC. For more resources like these, and for everything that help people with their needs too, check out The Pitch’s Community Resource Guide.
Here’s this week’s Creature Feature:
Don’t let Hypatia’s adorably frosty face fool you; She has been homeless for years. Hypatia is a healthy, active, four-year-old pup. She is full of joy, love, and endless snuggles. She is just as happy to lay on your lap as she is to play with a toy or zoom through a yard. Hypatia would thrive in a home or apartment as an only pet.
Please contact The Pet Connection in Raytown if you’d like to make Hypatia a part of your family. If you already have a pet or are just not in a place to adopt right now, please consider sharing Hypatia with anyone you know who may be looking strictly for one dog. Transportation can be made available to the right home, so feel free to share far and wide.
Hypatia has been homeless for most of her life. She is more than ready for a home and family of her own. Maybe you could help Hypatia’s dream come true.
If you would like more information or to schedule a meet and greet, please contact The Pet Connection in Raytown.
