Creature Feature: Hypatia wants to get personal

Hypatia

Hello, my name is Hypatia. I’ve been at The Pet Connection for a little over a year now. I love the people who take care of me, my friends who visit me, the yards, and my comfy bed. Life is better than it was at the shelter, and it is definitely better than the chain I grew up on. Still, something is missing. My friends have been telling me that I will find a forever home and a family. They say my family will love me, let me live in their home, spend every day with me, and take care of me for the rest of my life. I can’t think of anything I’d love more.

Sometimes, I worry that my family won’t come for me. I worry that they won’t want me or notice me because I am not fluffy enough because the white on my face makes me look older than my four years because I am something called a “pit bull,” or because I won’t be able to share my family with any other pets. My friends tell me I am beautiful, loving, playful, cuddly, smart, and so perfect that my family won’t need to have any other pets. I hope my friends are right and my family will see that I am a good girl who just needs a family to love.

Waiting is hard. I have so much love to give my future family, and I just can’t wait to share it. Maybe my family will find me this week. I will not give up hope.
