Craft beer is going to be flowing at Kauffman Stadium for the Royals’ home opener
Baseball and beer is a great combination. Baseball and craft beer is even better. Monday at the K, the Royals, Boulevard and Central States have teamed up to bring more beer options to Royals fans than ever before. Especially options that use the “C” word — “Craft.”
The Royals have decided to turn the .390 Club in the left field corner into Craft & Draft, featuring more than 75 craft beers. And here’s what you’ll find on tap.
Boulevard Pale Ale
Boulevard Tank 7
Boulevard The Calling
Boulevard KC Pils
Boulevard 80 Acre
Boulevard Single-Wide IPA
Boulevard Imperial Stout
Boulevard Spring Belle
Ommegang Three Philosophers
Santa Fe Java Stout
Mothers Three Blind Mice
Founders All-Day IPA
River North White
Breckenridge Agave Wheat
Martin City Abbey
Also on tap are macro giants Budweiser, Bud Light, Miller Lite and Coors Light.
John Poteet, CSBev’s vice president of marketing, tells The Pitch that some of those taps will rotate with different beers and seasonals.
“It’s the best selection of craft beer in a Major League ballpark that I’m aware of,” Poteet says.
More than 75 packaged beers — both macro and craft — will also be available at Craft & Draft, Poteet says. Among those beers will be cans of Boulevard beer, although you’ll have to wait until sometime after April 13 when they hit wide release.
“As soon as available, they’ll have them,” Poteet says. “But I expect them to sell out quickly.”
Just like opening day tickets.
