You can stop holding dates on your calendar – Kansas City Councilman Russ Johnson won’t indulge faraway civic gadfly Clay Chastain’s offer for a debate.

In an e-mail to local media dripping with exasperation, Bedford, Virginia’s top transit buff said Johnson aide Teresa Martinez explained that the Northland councilman “declined to take action” on Chastain’s offer to debate transit issues.
