Convicted child molester Michael Cole Sr. appointed to Levasy board of aldermen

  • Convicted sex offender Michael Cole Sr. is now a city official in Levasy.

Convicted child molester Michael Cole Sr. ran an unsuccessful campaign for mayor of Levasy, Missouri. Eleven folks there voted for Cole, but it wasn’t enough to beat Phyllis Dieckmann, who received 38 votes.

Cole’s aspirations of political office didn’t die there. In fact, Fox 4 reports that Dieckmann has appointed Cole to a vacant seat on the board of aldermen. The seat had apparently been open for a while, and Cole expressed interest in filling it.

The town is facing criticism over the appointment of Cole, 60, who was convicted of first-degree child molestation of an 11-year-old girl in 2004.
