Concert alert: the Shins, Ed Sheeran, Joe Jackson and David Gray

Say you are the type of person who enjoys the sounds of a variety of pleasant, non-confrontational, male-fronted singer-songwriters. Gently set down your cuppa tea and celebrate, because this is your week. Tickets for a range of shows — Ed Sheeran, Joe Jackson, David Gray, the Shins — are either on sale now or are just about to hit the internet.

First, Ed Sheeran: he’s playing the Sprint Center Thursday, June 29. Tickets will be available via AXS starting at 10 a.m. this Friday, March 17. Sheeran’s last appearance in Kansas City was a little opening gig at Arrowhead Stadium for a British band that no one’s heard of.

The Shins are set to make an appearance in Kansas City on June 1 at the Midland, on the heels of the release of their first new record in five years, Heartworms. Presale tickets ($37) tickets are still available here, using code HEARTWORMS. Tickets go on sale to the general public via AXS at 10 a.m. Friday, March 17.

Another English singer-songwriter, David Gray, will be performing an acoustic set at the Uptown on Tuesday, May 16. Presale tickets will be available tomorrow at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster with the code BRIDGE (thanks, KTBG!). Use the same link to purchase tickets for the general public sale, which begins at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 17.

Finally, lots of good seats are still available for Joe Jackson’s June 23 appearance at the Uptown. Tickets range from $40 to $60 and are available via Ticketmaster
