Comment of the Week: How many people could $10k feed, clothe

Kansas City, Kansas, Archbishop Joseph Naumann isn’t a fan of same-sex marriage. No surprise there.

But when Pitch staff writer Peter Rugg discovered that Naumann’s Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas had poured $10,000 into repealing same-sex marriage in Maine — that was surprising.

We weren’t the only ones wondering how the 10 large could have been better spent. Commenter bduplenty wrote:

Gee, I wonder how many people that $10,000 would have fed or clothed?

Thanks, Christians, for (once again) totally missing the point of

Christianity.

Guessing a lot, given what Harvesters says it can do with just a couple bucks every holiday season.
