Comment of the week: Annicka Martinez’ family

Earlier this week, KCK police arrested Earl W. West, who has reportedly been charged in the death of Javier Reynoza and who authorities wanted to question about the death of Annicka Martinez.

Reynoza, 37, was shot to death in the 1700 block of Central Avenue on January 2. Wyandotte County prosecutors have also charged 35-year-old Ruben Richardson with second-degree murder in connection with Reynoza’s death.

In January, the body of 31-year-old Martinez was found in the trunk of a burned-out car in Lafayette County, Missouri. Police had wanted to talk with her about Reynoza’s death.

Earlier this week, someone posting under the name “Family” on our story about Martinez being ID’ed by authorities left a heartfelt comment to Martinez’ “friends, acquaintances, associates and … even enemies.” Here is the Comment of the Week:
