Coco Crisp’s DUI arrest could get even stranger; ex-Royal tells cops he has ‘Secret Service’

Former Kansas City Royal Coco Crisp was arrested last week on suspicion of drunken driving. Crisp wasn’t exactly flying below the radar. He was cruising around Scottsdale in a black 2009 Rolls Royce around 2:15 a.m., and by cruising, he was reportedly unable to stay in his own lane.

No word on whether he was wearing a monocle and a top hat at the time. But Crisp apparently wasn’t alone.

According to the Arizona Republic, Crisp was being followed by armed personal security guards that he described as the “Secret Service.” Police noticed that a Dodge pickup truck followed behind Crisp in his Rolls and pulled over when Crisp stopped.
