Cinder Block releases its first Hop Maven IPA today

Cinder Block Brewery is releasing the first experimental IPA in its new Hop Maven series today. The North Kansas City brewery is tapping Hop Maven #1 in its taproom at 110 East 18th Avenue (816-298-6555).  

The Hop Maven series of IPAs will highlight different hop varieties. The first features Bravo, Falconers Flight, Mandarina Bavaria and is calculated at 90 IBUs.

Earlier this year, Cinder Block owner Bryce Schaffter told The Pitch that the series would be monthly or bimonthly, and each beer in the series brewed with rare hops.

Cinder Block is open today until 10 p.m. and Saturday from noon until 10 p.m. And if you’re headed to Saturday’s HopFest, Cinder Block will be serving it there.
