Chuck Purgason’s all night gab fest ends … at 21 hours! Missouri Senate passes Ford tax breaks

Missouri state Senator Chuck Purgason wasn’t a fan of a bill

to provide $150-million

in tax incentives to Ford Motor Company, so the Caufield Republican decided to try and talk the bill to death (Purgason also wasn’t happy about being pulled from chairing a Senate committee for refusing to hear the bill).

But it wasn’t to be. Our sister paper in St. Louis, the Riverfront Times, reports that Purgason’s filibuster ended after a breathtaking 21 hours.
