Chuck Neinas tells The Star that he’s talking with the Big 12

Let me first say that The Star‘s Mizzou beat writer, Mike DeArmond, is kicking ass with his coverage of the Big 12 shakeup. The latest: Ex-Big Eight Commissioner Chuck Neinas confirmed to DeArmond that he’s been approached by the Big 12 about filling in for Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe, whose expected departure could be announced today.

“I was contacted to see if I would be interested in assisting,” Neinas told DeArmond. “I responded affirmatively. They’re going to have a telephone conference with the presidents and chancellors today and they will get back to me.”
