Chiefs Vs. Broncos Game Preview

The Kansas City Chiefs will meet the Denver Broncos this evening in a pivotal AFC West matchup at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs enter the game at 7-4 coming off a disappointing defeat at Oakland on Thursday Night Football in Week 12. Meanwhile, the Broncos got back on the horse this past Sunday, beating the Miami Dolphins at home to get to 8-3 and hold a one game lead over the Chiefs in the division.

This is the second meeting of the year for the Chiefs and Broncos as they met in Week 2 at Sports Authority Field in Denver. The Broncos held on for a 24-17 victory and began the season 2-0 while the loss put the Chiefs at 0-2. Since then, Denver has gone 6-3 while the Chiefs have gone 7-2 so Kansas City has been able to climb back into position to potentially take the AFC West.

The winner of the AFC West will have a much higher chance of reaching this year’s Super Bowl as the AFC playoffs is shaping up to be a major slugfest. The San Diego Chargers are tied with the Chiefs at 7-4 and every AFC North team has 7 wins currently. Add in the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills who are 6-5 each and there are several very talented teams that will be vying for wildcard spots. The Indianapolis Colts (who gave the Chiefs quite a hard time in the postseason last year) as well as the New England Patriots are expected to win their respective divisions so home field advantage will be crucial to have any chance of advancing far in this year’s postseason.

The winner of this game will be hailed, along with the Patriots, as one of the favorites to get a berth in the Super Bowl. For those curious fans, Super Bowl tickets have an average ticket price currently of $3,217 with a get-in price of $1,689, according to SB Tickets. SB Tickets also offers VIP hospitality packages, party tickets, and Super Bowl suites so if either of these teams eventually wins the AFC, fans should be sure to use SB as a resource for everything Super Bowl-related.

But Kansas City and Denver both have a long way to go if they wish to reach the Super Bowl. That path starts tonight at Arrowhead on Sunday Night Football.
