Chicago’s Honey Pot Performance has two shows this weekend at Paragraph Gallery

Honey Pot Performance, an all-female creative collective from Chicago, is in town this weekend for a few select performances at Paragraph Gallery and an interactive workshop at the Gem Theater, courtesy of the Charlotte Street Foundation.

The cast features four African-American women and collaborating artists: Felicia Holman, Aisha Jean-Baptiste, Abra Johnson and Meida McNeal. Together, these women will perform “Price Point,” a heavy piece that explores sociocultural, economic and identity issues through theater, song and dance.

For a taste of what Honey Pot Performance does, here’s their teaser video for “Price Point.”

The performances at Paragraph Gallery take place Friday, December 13, and Sunday, December 15. For more information, including showtimes and location, go here

The workshop, where participants will have the opportunity to discuss the group’s methods and theories surrounding the script and the performance, takes place Saturday, December 14, at the Gem Theater. Space is limited, and RSVPs are encouraged. All the info on the workshop can be found here
