Check out Nike’s special-edition Bo Jackson ‘Broken Bats’ sneaker

Bo Jackson, the coolest person ever associated with Kansas City, committed mystifyingly great athletic acts on a regular basis during the five years he was here in the last half of the 1980s. Bo lasering a ball from the warning track to home plate to throw out Harold Reynolds remains one of the most mind-boggling, freak-of-nature highlights in sports history.
Another iconic Bo Jackson image is of him breaking baseball bats over his knees and helmet – also known as the most baller way one can possibly react to a strikeout. To commemorate Bo’s bat-breaking prowess, Nike released, this past Friday, a limited-edition sneaker. It’s Royals colors, with an eight-bit image on the tongue of Bo cracking one over his knee.

The Air Trainer SC “Broken Bats,” as they’re called, retail for $130, but are already going for well over $200 on eBay.
