Charred KCK playground leaves melted, stinking remains

Someone or something torched a playground in KCK last Thursday. A day later, the metallic carnage and oppressive melted-plastic odor were still there.

The playground, at 53rd Street and County Line Road, erupted in flames in the afternoon, but the cause is unknown.

Fox 4 got some pretty gnarly

video of it going up in smoke. I stopped by on Friday and snapped a few photos.
