Cardinals Tickets Start At $9 For Series Vs Dodgers

Fans are in for quite a treat for the start of the second half. The St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers meet for a three-game set in St. Louis to kick off the stretch run. The two teams met in the NLCS last season, and might be the two best teams in the National League again this year. The Dodgers took three of four the last time they were on the St. Louis Cardinals schedule so St. Louis will be looking to return the favor this time around at Busch Stadium  St. Louis Cardinals tickets are only averaging $35.33 on the secondary market for the series, down 35 percent from their season average.

7/18 LAD Dan Haren vs. STL Lance Lynn | Avg. Price: $33 | Get-in Price: $9

The first 25,000 fans to enter the stadium for Friday’s game will receive a poster of a print of 1964 World Champion Cardinals team. The average price of Cards vs Dodgers tickets for the game is $33 and the get-in price is $9. Lance Lynn gets the first start for St. Louis, and only Adam Wainwright has had a better season so far. Granted there are not many pitchers who have had a better start than Wainwright, who was chose to start the All-Star Game for the National League. Lynn is second on the team with 114.2 innings pitched, a 1.8 WAR, a 10-6 record and a 3.14 ERA.

7/19 LAD Zack Greinke vs. STL Joe Kelly | Avg. Price: $45 | Get-in Price: $15

Saturday’s game is the most expensive with a $45 average and a $15 get-in price, but there is no promotional giveaway for the game. Joe Kelly starts this game for the Cardinals, and despite only making four starts so far, he looks like he’s picked things up where he left them last season. Despite an obscenely high .344 BABIP, Kelly only has a 3.44 ERA and an even lower 3.14 FIP thanks to a ground ball rate of 55.6 percent that leads the team.

7/20 LAD Clayton Kershaw vs. STL Carlos Martinez | Avg. Price: $28 | Get-in Price: $10

The final game of the series is also the cheapest, despite possibly having the best attractions. The game only has a ticket average of $28 and a get-in price of $10. But the first 25,000 fans will receive an adult replica home white jersey with a League Champions logo to commemorate their NLCS victory last season. Fans in attendance will also get the chance to see Clayton Kershaw pitch, the only pitcher in the National League that can compete with Wainwright for the NL Cy Young award. Carlos Martinez gets the unenviable task of pitching against him. The young prospect hasn’t quite broken through at the major league level, registering below replacement level in his two seasons.
