In today’s hazard-riddled world, we are constantly reminded to beware terrorism-supporting drugs, artery-clogging cholesterol and countless other dangers. However, we don’t hear enough about zombies, those evil, brain-hungry freaks who, though slow-moving and dim-witted, are also maniacal and relentless. Plus, bites from such creatures turn the gnawed-upon into zombies themselves. Few future victims know what a downer death by zombie can be, but fortunately there are a few death-metal acts who refuse to let this problem go unmentioned. Take into consideration these lyrics from “Pit of Zombies” from Cannibal Corpse‘s 2002 album Gore Obsessed: Pit of zombies/Chasm teeming with undead/Their jaws await me/A gruesome end/The pit of zombies/Reanimated to devour/I watch them kill me. People, if you are not taking proper zombie precautions, you are risking this fate: the inconvenient-at-best prospect of joining the ranks of the undead, not to mention the culinary monotony of having brain for every meal.
