But Cage turned a corner a couple of years ago. He got clean, joined the Definitive Jux imprint and released one of 2005’s most revered hip-hop albums, Hell’s Winter. Now a little older and wiser, Cage has learned to take an introspective approach to his writing without sacrificing the intensity that has made him one of the most potent lyricists in the game.
