Buy a Royals banner, benefit Kansas City’s fountains

Game Six tonight, y’all.  

Observant citizens will note that there are now Royals-themed “Home Sweet Home” banners flying on downtown street poles. This afternoon, you can buy one of those banners for yourself and benefit the City of Fountains Foundation, a nonprofit that repairs and restores KC’s historic fountains. From a city release: 

Drive by the north side of City Hall and buy a banner (or four)! Look for the Parks and Recreation tent on 11th Street between Locust and Oak on Friday, Oct. 23 from 2 – 4 p.m. 

You also can buy a banner at the Gregg/Klice Community Center in the 18th & Vine Jazz District at 1600 John “Buck” O’Neil Way on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 4 – 6 p.m. 

Banners are $25 each and cash only.
