Bubba Starling busted for underage drinking

How about a little tarnish for the Kansas City Royals’ golden-boy prospect? Bubba Starling, 19, was one of three Royals’ prospects cited for underage drinking at an Arizona checkpoint, the Star reported.

Royals’ assistant GM J.J. Picollo sounded like a disappointed daddy in his comments to the Star.

“Our players put themselves in a bad spot,” Picollo said. “They made a poor decision in having a beer under age. It’s something most teenagers deal with, but we’re disappointed that they put themselves in this position.”
