Bubba Cunningham is NOT the next athletics director at Kansas; Tulsa AD stays put

Despite what you may have read in say every media outlet in the state of Kansas and beyond, Tulsa Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham is still the athletic director at Tulsa. Cunninghman isn’t coming to the University of Kansas. Whoops!

I first saw the report on to Sports By Brooks, which cited an unnamed Big 12 athletic director, who claimed the

announcement could come on Wednesday. “Cunningham’s deal with Kansas has

not been consummated but he recently met with the approval of the KU

administration following a meeting with Kansas Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little this week,” Brooks wrote. Not consummated was, in hindsight, an understatement.
