Bryan Block, KCK police officer, indicted for allegedly shooting a bouncer

Off-duty Kansas City, Kansas, police officer Bryan Block had been thrown out of the 6902 Club on Prospect for being drunk and having a gun on him on March 4, court records say.
Block, 45, told the bouncer: “I got a 40 on me. I’ll blast you.” He apparently wasn’t joking. Block allegedly shot the bouncer twice in the abdomen. The bouncer survived. But Block is now facing criminal charges.
A grand jury has indicted Block on charges of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon by intoxication and armed criminal action.
