Browser’s Delight

On the first weekend of every month, vendors for the West Bottoms Urban Bazaar fill the second-floor space above Foundation Architectural Reclamation (1221 Union, 816-283-8990) with handmade gewgaws and vintage trinkets and unusual accessories for the home, body and soul. This being February, expect the artisans and treasure dealers to crowd their tables with decorative hearts and arrows, plus plenty of one-of-a-kind items guaranteed to send arrows of jealousy through the hearts of those missing the sale. The West Bottoms Urban Bazaar is open today from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Admission is free until Valentine’s Day-themed entertainment begins at 8. After that, donate $8 at the door to support performances by the Sinsations Burlesque troupe and rockers Hopeless Destroyers and Mercury Mad & the Plastic Bitches. Shopping (at no cover) resumes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
