Boulevard Chocolate Ale deliveries delayed until Thursday due to the snowfall

The arrival of Boulevard Chocolate Ale has been delayed again due to the snowstorm. Boulevard and its distributor, Central States Beverage, made the announcement Tuesday night.

Central States posted this message to Facebook:

“Due to the increase in snowfall this evening it is with a great displeasure that we are canceling deliveries for Wednesday. We understand the value of a good beer, but that being said, the value of our driver’s safety is much more important to us. Please be safe tomorrow in YOUR travels, should you choose to do so, we will see you on the roads Thursday!”

Boulevard followed with a message of its own:

“Just like the unpredictable weather, we sadly announce that our Kansas City distributor is not able to deliver Chocolate Ale tomorrow. We are extremely sorry, however we need to support the mission of safety for all involved in delivering our special Smokestack Series release. We truly anticipate having trucks on the road Thursday morning and will keep you posted. Cheers.”

Chocolate Ale isn’t going anywhere, so it’s best for everyone to be safe.

I was able to sample Chocolate Ale last week with brewer Jeremy Danner. The story appears in this week’s print issue and online here.
