Books, Bottles and Brandon Tietz

If attending a book signing on a Friday night sounds nerdy, you haven’t partied with local author Brandon Tietz. Snubbed by Barnes & Noble, Tietz held his first release party for the self-published book Out of Touch at the now-defunct Blonde nightclub last year. Since then, he has captured the attention of Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk. This being the day that Out of Touch is reissued by an actual publisher, Otherworld Publications, Tietz is hitting the town again. This time, the party is a two-parter. “The Socialite Method, or: How I Learned to Sign Books Over Bottle Service” begins at 7 p.m. with drinks and music at menswear boutique Method (1529 Grand).
