Billy Long is back on board with this bad healthcare bill and you should probably be calling your Congressional representatives

Yesterday, Billy Long was everybody’s hero.

In a surprise move, the Missouri Congressman announced that he opposed the healthcare bill Republicans are currently trying to ram through the U.S. House of Representatives. Long said he couldn’t support it because of the fact that it eliminates protections for those with pre-existing conditions. That makes sense, because most ordinary people like the fact that insurance companies are no longer allowed to deny them coverage because they have cancer or asthma or diabetes.

But anybody who has even casually followed Long’s political career knows that this is not a brave man. He literally hides from his constituents.

This morning, Long went to the White House to meet with President Trump. After leaving, he immediately told reporters that he is now a Yes vote on the healthcare bill. What a tough customer.

Vox is now reporting that “top administration officials are signaling that the votes are nearly there and they expect a House vote soon.”

Trump has been saying that the bill does cover those with pre-existing conditions. This is absolutely not true:

Here’s Long’s contact info

Here’s Kansas Congressman Kevin Yoder’s info. Definitely call Yoder. He is supposedly on the fence and most people in his district oppose the bill.

Here’s Missouri Congressman Sam Graves’ info

If you live somewhere else, you can call this handy number to connect you with your local representative: 1-844-432-0883.
