Billy Butler will be hitting in the All-Star Game

- Butler will be in the dugout for the All-Star Game.
Even if it’s not available at the concessions, Country Breakfast is now on the menu at the All-Star Game. Designated hitter Billy Butler was named to the American League’s All-Star team roster Sunday night, and closer Jonathan Broxton will have a chance to join him as one of five players eligible for a final spot determined by online fan voting (Alex Gordon finished third in the voting last year).
Butler is a reserve as David Ortiz was named the starter for the American League. Not on the list was shortstop Alcides Escobar, despite his .310 batting average. The New York Yankees’ Derek Jeter will start and be backed up by the Cleveland Indians’ Asdrubal Cabrera.
