Bikers will save Troost

This afternoon, Nadia Pflaum and I stopped by the best-looking new

store on Troost, which happens to be a motorcycle shop. If you ride,

this is our new pick for where you need to take your bike when the

engine needs work.

Located at 5508 Troost, Blue Star Motorcycle Co. opened in January as a motorcycle repair, customization and resale store. Co-owners Ross Thompson and Jim Hoke said they had motorcycles and clients lined up before the doors were even open. Today next to their work station, more than a dozen motorcycles were parked waiting for their tune-ups.

Thompson, originally from Springfield, Missouri, operated one bike shop more than a decade ago in Baltimore. “It failed miserably,” he said.
