Big 12 says something new about Mizzou, the SEC, conference realignment, the future of college sports, etc.
Honestly, the Big 12 has more childish, catty, rumor-driven drama than season seven of Degrassi. And because it’s a day of the week, there’s another story about the future of the once-great conference, this time courtesy of interim commissioner Chuck Neinas.
Neinas says Mizzou (which is supposedly begging the Big Ten for membership while being courted by the Southeast Conference) is pleased as punch to stay with the Big 12 through 2012. “If Missouri was going to change horses, it wouldn’t be for 2012 anyway,” he told the Associated Press. So the Big 12 is MU’s horsey of choice for at least another year. Then we can relive all this fun controversy and drama again after next year!
