Big 12 agrees to share TV revenue in a move toward stability, but Mizzou remains wild card

- The Big 12 takes a step toward stability.
Sharing is caring in the Big 12. The Big 12 announced Monday that the conference’s board of directors has agreed to equally share money from the Tier I and Tier II TV rights for football, men’s basketball and NCAA men’s basketball tournament games. It’s a move toward stability. But — and, of course, there’s a but because this is the Big 12 — it all depends on each university granting its TV rights to the conference for at least six years.
“It is recognized by the Board that each member is directed by institutional policy relative to pursuing its grant of rights and that process will commence expeditiously at the institutional level,” the conference said in a press release.
But will it be too late to keep Missouri in the conference?
