Beverly Crowl, Killa City homicide 35: Police release sketch of ‘person of interest’

Independence police have released an electronic composite sketch of a “person of interest” in the homicide of Beverly S. Crowl.

Crowl, 69, was found dead inside a home at 14608 East 37th Street in Independence on March 19. Police believe Crowl was the victim of a “home invasion.”

Crowl had worked as a civilian member of the Independence Police Department in the records unit but had retired.

Police described the person of interest as a black male, approximately

25 to 30 years old who is between 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with a slim

build. The man has a two to three inch Afro and no facial hair. The man

was wearing dark colored clothing.
