Can you name boxing’s heavyweight champion? Don’t worry, not many can. But KC fans of mixed martial arts not only can name the Bellator Mixed Martial Arts champion but also watch a heavyweight world championship bout when Bellator XXXII erupts at 6 p.m. in the Power & Light District (14th Street and Grand). The fight card features a heavyweight title match between Cole “Polar Bear” Konrad and Neil “Goliath” Grove. The undefeated Konrad, a Minnesota native, reached the Bellator tournament by defeating Polish veteran fighter Damian Grabowski with the ground-and-pound technique, which sounds risqué but is actually very nonerotic. The massive Grove destroyed Ukrainian Alexey Oleinik in only 45 seconds to reach the final, Grove’s eighth first-round victory. Tickets cost $27.25 to $111.50. Call 312-245-9805 for details.
