Beasley Involved in Pot Bust After All

By Justin Kendall

The NBA confirmed Michael Beasley’s character questions yesterday when the league fined the Miami Heat rookie $50,000 for his involvement in the weed-and-women bust at the rookie orientation, which warns players against off-court temptations. Questions about Beasley’s character dogged him prior to the NBA’s draft, possibly leading to him falling from the top spot.

Earlier this month, hotel security busted former Kansas Jayhawks Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur with the reefer and a couple of “fans.” ESPN’s Chris Broussard initially reported that Beasley was also in the room in which security smelled the chronic and heard a lot of flushing.
