Baylor Football Tickets Expected to Be Pricey for 2014

Over the past few seasons the University of Baylor has really been able to turn their football program around. After spending decades in the bottom tier of college football, now they are the defending Big XII Champions and gained a 2014 Fiesta Bowl berth thanks entirely to head coach Art Briles. In his short tenure at Baylor, Briles has transformed the Bears from a laughing stock in the FBS to a powerhouse complete with a Heisman trophy winner in former Bear and current Washington Redskin Robert Griffin III. In the dozen years before Briles took over the head job in Waco, Baylor had only won 11 Big XII games. Since then, they have won an incredible 17 in just five years.

This past Saturday Baylor held its annual Spring Game which saw a record crowd of well over 3,000 turn out to attend the game at the Highers Athletic Complex practice field. Fans got to see the best quarterback in the Big XII, Bryce Petty, command the offense. A season ago Petty threw for over 4,000 yards and had the fantastic touchdown to interception ratio of 35:3 proving he could make all the reads necessary to be successful. In Saturday’s exhibition game Petty didn’t put up record setting numbers but then again he didn’t have to going 10 for 15 with 135 yards and two touchdowns.

According to Best Tickets, a San Antonio ticket broker with extensive ticket data information on Baylor football tickets, Baylor’s recent success and high flying offense that can seemingly score at will are going to make Baylor football tickets some of the hardest to get in the conference. Presently, there are less than 150 days until Baylor kicks off the 2014 season with the intention of repeating as Big XII Champions once again and with a gunslinger like Petty under center those odds are pretty good.
