Barack and Michelle Obama coming to Kansas City (updated)

Update (1:44 p.m. June 28): Robin Carnahan ‘s campaign just sent out the details of President Obama‘s visit to downtown Kansas City next week.

Obama is scheduled for an ActBlue luncheon and reception at Bartle Hall (302 West 13th Street) at 1 p.m. But you better have a fat wallet if you want to attend. Tickets range from $1,000 to $30,000.

Obama is also slated for a “grassroots reception” at the Folly Theater (300 West 12th Street) at 2 p.m. Not sure how grassroots it can be when ticket prices range from $35 to $500.
