Baby’s frozen body found in the bed of a pickup truck; mother arrested on drug warrant

Just when you think the awfulness of humanity cannot surprise you anymore, you hear a story like this one: A baby’s frozen body was found in a plastic bag in the bed of the father’s pickup truck.

The Kansas City Star reported that the baby’s body was discovered Thursday in the 11300 block of East 49th Street. Wanda Benenhaley, the baby’s 38-year-old mother, told police that the baby was stillborn.
