Avion Williamson, Killa City homicide 25: Police ID bus depot shooting victim

Kansas City police say 18-year-old Avion D. Williamson was the victim of Monday afternoon’s homicide at 39th and Troost.

Police were called to the bus depot at the intersection around 1:45 p.m. and found Williamson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Williamson died at the scene.

Witnesses told police that they saw Williamson walk

outside of the bus depot to talk with a group of people. When Williamson returned to the bus depot, a man (described as a black

male and about 18 years old and dressed in a brown Carhartt jacket) followed Williamson into the depot and shot him around five to six times.

Williamson is Kansas City, Missouri’s 12th homicide victim.
