Arkells and Freelance Whales added to Tokyo Police Club date at RecordBar, Neon Trees coming to Beaumont

The Saturday, July 31 Tokyo Police Club show at RecordBar has been rounded out by two solid supporting acts. Freelance Whales are a little bit chamber pop, a little bit Postal Service. Arkells released one of the best straight-up rock records of 2008, Jackson Square. They’re like a poppier Constantines. All in all a good get for RecordBar. Tickets on sale now.
Neon Trees are coming to the Beaumont on Tuesday, July 20, supported by Paper Tongues and MeTalkPretty. The sounds emanating out of the Beaumont and into the Westport night that evening will be not unlike what you hear most times you turn your dial to 96.5 the Buzz. It’s all-ages and starts at 7 p.m. Tickets on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.
