Anniversary

When the clock strikes midnight on Tuesday evening, wise local music fans will be at the Bottleneck celebrating their Anniversary. Having just returned home for the holidays from a lengthy tour, the Lawrence quintet should be ready to cut loose and throw some confetti. Sharing the bill are Leawood’s Gadjits, who inked a major-label deal with RCA in September. Having fully completed its transition from hellcat punk to rootsy rock, the group now features keyboardist Ehren Starks, formerly of Jose Ph. Starks, who recently cropped up on Approach’s Ultraproteus EP, has also gigged with Ghosty, an inventive Lawrence quartet that continues to convert fans with its low-key melodica.
