Animal Haven rescues 39 puppies and dogs from puppy mill; now they need forever homes

Need a new best friend? Animal Haven can hook you up. The Merriam no-kill shelter is housing 39 dogs and a cat that were rescued from puppy mills and animal hoarders, and many of them will be up for adoption on Saturday.

Want a cocker spaniel puppy? They’ve got nine 1-week-old cocker spaniels. Love Chihuahuas? They’ve got four puppies and five adults. They’ve all been vaccinated, microchipped and are in the process of

being spayed or neutered. They also have several Italian greyhounds and rat terriers up for

adoption.
