Animal control accidentally confiscates 15 perfectly legal dogs
This has been a rough summer for animal welfare stories. There were accusations of mistreatment at a shelter. There was the story of the woman who hoarded cats. And then there was the guy accused of killing three kittens, including allegations that he smashed one repeatedly against the floor until it died.
So, you could forgive Kansas City Animal Control officers for acting on a tip that 15 Rottweilers and bullmastiffs were being kept illegally at a south Kansas City home. Fox 4 reports that officers took the dogs yesterday without the owner even knowing. When Fox 4 reporter Rob Low told Christine Huggins that authorities had taken her pooches, she was a bit upset.
