And Missouri’s Youth of the Year is…
…not Mikheala Hill, of the Boys & Girls Club’s Wyandotte Unit. Mikheala, who beat out Rushad Hill and three others in the metro-wide competition — detailed in this week’s feature story — is pictured here standing next to David Smith, president of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City.
Mikheala did a fantastic job representing the metro, but Joshua Jones, from the Sportsman’s Park Boys & Girls Club in St. Louis, was chosen to go on to compete in the Midwest Region’s competition in Chicago, July 7-9. The winner there will go to Washington, D.C., in September to compete for the national Youth of the Year title, which will be presented by President Barack Obama.
