Alfonzo P. Blair’s death ruled a homicide; 18 year old shot to death Saturday

Independence police have identified 18-year-old Alfonzo P. Blair as the victim of Saturday’s homicide at South Oxford and Independence Avenue in Independence.

Blair’s body was found in the street around 1:20 p.m. His death was initially called “suspicious.”

The Jackson County Medical Examiner ruled that Blair had been shot to death.
