Musical Blades is a real, actual band. They’re based in Shawnee and recently placed this ad on Backpage.com seeking a guitarist.

From the ad:

“Our music is mostly original, traditional sounding, comedy laden (pirate) sea chanties, but we also do non-comedic songs, as well as a few traditional songs. Our last guitarist, who also sang a tenner harmony, has recently walked the plank (so to speak) and we need someone to fill his shoes.”
