Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts are arguably the two best quarterbacks in the league right now. With the Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl LVII rematch on Monday, November 20th; who will be the team to take the crown of victory this time around?

The Kansas City Chiefs, led by Mahomes, are currently number one in the AFC West and the Philadelphia Eagles, led by Hurts, are also number one in their respective conference: the NFC East.

At the center of the game talk is the buzzing rumor that 12x Grammy Award winning artist Taylor Swift’s parents will meet Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce parents at the game also. Scott Swift, Taylor’s dad, is a long-time Eagles fan but was spotted wearing a Chiefs lanyard at Swift’s sold out concert in Argentina on November 11th. Jason Kelce, older brother of Travis Kelce, is also another lifer with the Eagles as he was drafted there in 2011 and has spent his entire career in Philadelphia.

The Eagles affair doesn’t stop there. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid came over to KC from Philadelphia in 2013 after serving as their head coach for over a decade. Following Reid from the Eagles was also now General Manager Brett Veach and Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy.

Some analysts are calling Monday’s prime time Super Bowl rematch also a preview to a potential match up for Super Bowl LVIII next February 2024. Though players like Nick Bolton, Kadarius Toney, and Skyy Moore had a big game during the original Super Bowl win, so far in this season it hasn’t been quite the same. Bolton underwent surgery earlier this season for his wrist that will force him to miss two months, Toney has struggled with drop passes, and Moore also has been struggling with drops this season so far.

Though Chiefs currently sit at a 7-2 record, it has been painfully obvious how much our offense is struggling – specifically with the wide receiver group. Just last week we watched the Dolphins come back from a 21-0 deficit in the 3rd to bring the final score to 21-14 with the defense-led Chiefs win.

Between receivers not being able to get open to getting open only to drop passes from Mahomes, you can see the growing frustration from our 2x MVP quarterback and also across social media from fans. We still don’t have a WR1. A top receiver that is Mahomes go-to to hold offense down aside from his #1 target Kelce – who is a tight end, not wide receiver. Should Chiefs be concerned with Monday’s game against the Eagles? Not necessarily. Though the Chiefs have struggled offensively this season, we still have one of the best defenses in the league along with the best quarterback in the NFL.

The Chiefs are currently in the top 5 of defensive leaders with 288.2 passing yards allowed this season and also in the top 5 of offensive leaders for passing yards with 264.9 heading into week 11. According to ESPN, Mahomes also has a total QBR (Quarterback Rating) of 72.9, giving him a slight edge over Hurts 66.0 so far. Chiefs also have the slight advantage playing home at Arrowhead aka the loudest sports venue in the world. With the odds in favor of the Chiefs, it is going to be a game of grit and passion on Monday night between both teams.

For one of the most anticipated matchups of this NFL season, the Chiefs are going to do what they do best: win.
