Ad Astra Arkestra on the Replay patio, Friday evening

There was no opening act for Ad Astra Arkestra‘s Friday evening matinee on the Replay patio, so the band opened their set with “23 minutes of … that,” as ringleader Mike Tuley described it. It was an epic jam session that saw the band stretching out in a percussive mood, allowing the audience to work their way through the door. In the stifling heat, it was probably best that the band waited until the sun had gone down a little further before entering into their “pop songs” portion of the evening.
